Who Are We?
Our Purpose
The Commons Wellness Collective is an online clinic based in British Columbia that exists to foster meaningful and deep connections. We see this work taking place in each session between patients and practitioners. We also see this extended into the relationships we hold with each other as a team, allowing for trust, collaboration and genuine care and support. From here, we see this work extend into our communities. We believe that only from this strong base of community can we work together to dismantle the systems of power and oppression that impact us all.
Currently, we all offer virtual therapy sessions across BC. Select therapists offer in-person sessions in their local communities.
Our Values
We believe in justice, generosity and curiosity and see these values working together to create the openness and safety needed for authentic flourishing. This generates a stabilizing force that allows for the true exploration needed to bring lasting change. We envision change on all levels: intra-relational (within yourself), inter-relational (between you and others) and societal (macro level change), and believe healing is possible and deeply tied to relationships.
Our work is trauma informed and anti-oppressive, recognizing that to heal we first need to acknowledge and understand the contexts in which harm has occurred. Our hope is that you would find therapy to be a space where your true self is witnessed, cared for and supported. We would love to support you on your journey, wherever that may take us.
