Hi, I’m Breeana (she/her)

I believe we are wired for connection. Experiencing big feelings without support can feel incredibly isolating. That’s why I deeply prioritize the therapeutic relationship we build together. My own therapy journey wasn't straightforward, and that lived experience shapes how I support you today.

If you are skeptical about whether therapy can work for you, I get it. I used to feel the exact same way—even while earning my graduate degree in counseling. I vividly remember telling a friend, "I just don't think therapy works for me." It felt wild to admit while training to sit with others in their pain. Then I met my own therapist, and suddenly, everything clicked.

I discovered a safe relationship grounded in authentic care, curiosity, gentleness, and a genuine desire to truly know me, rather than simply "fix" my problems. By slowing down, we were able to unpack shame and the belief that I could not be helped. Therapy can be a deeply meaningful process, and if my story resonates with you, I welcome the opportunity to connect.

Therapy with me centers on building a genuine, trauma-informed relationship that recognizes how our positions within society, family, and community shape both our suffering and our transformation. As a white settler living on the stolen territory of the Coast Salish peoples, I am committed to anti-oppressive practice, maintaining a deep curiosity about the systemic, cultural, and interpersonal factors influencing your well-being. Ultimately, our relationship serves as a container for this transformation; as we heal your inner conflicts, we open up new pathways for connection and healing within your broader community.

I am a basic-trained EMDR clinician and practice from an AEDP and Emotion Focused Family Therapy lens. Our collaboration includes learning about the nervous system, trauma, and emotional processing. I also integrate inner child and parts work, creating a safe space to explore your inner world and cultivate self-compassion, care, and healing for every part of who you are.

Areas of Practice

I have experience working with people of diverse backgrounds who are seeking support for the following:

I am a great fit for…

  • Teens (13+) navigating general and performance anxiety, identity, and complex relationships. I love working with the teenage nervous system and have spent over ten years helping youth and young adults navigate this unique, confusing, and hopeful stage of life.

  • Parents of teens who want to build deep, meaningful communication with their children.

  • Adult children wanting to explore their family context and generational relationship dynamics.

  • Adult women ready to unpack sexual shame, religious trauma, and purity culture.

  • Individuals healing from past traumatic events and relational wounds.

  • Folks experiencing anxiety, panic, and overwhelming stress.

  • Anyone ready to explore their inner world—spirit, mind, body, and emotions—and untangle protective habits that no longer serve them.

If you are brand new to counselling and looking for a warm, conversational space, we will work well together. And if you have already done some therapy in the past but feel ready to dive into deeper work now, I am here to help you take that next step.
